PDD migrant employees demand salaries

JAMMU, Dec 20: Displaced PDD Employees Welfare Association has expressed grave concern over non payment of salaries for the month of November to them.
In a statement issued here, today M K Tickoo president of the Association said that employees are without salaries of November when the month of December is also coming to an end.
He appealed the authorities to release the salaries without further delay. The Association has also expressed concern over winding up of the Migrant Cell of the PDD and said that it was created for easing the problems of migrant employees in 1995 but with its winding up the problems will aggravate again.
The Association further said that it is against the attachment of the employees and instead demand the adjustment against their own posts. Moreover it said the Government before winding up the Cell should ensure the safe custody of the records of last 27 years of the migrant employees.
Tickoo said the migrant employees will fight the government decision to wind up the Cell tooth and nail.
