JAMMU, Mar 8: Senior National Conference leader and MLA Kangan, Mian Altaf Ahmed has expressed strong resentment over the ‘power mess’ in Ganderbal district particularly in Kangan constituency for last several months.
In a statement issued, Mian Altaf said that Ganderbal district particularly areas of Kangan constituency is witnessing worst power scenario for last several months, adding that several areas are reeling under complete darkness as PDD division Ganderbal has failed to repair the damaged transformers in many areas for last more than two months now.
Mian Altaf blamed the PDD division Ganderbal for the power mess in the district and said that the PDD officials don’t follow any procedure while repairing the damaged transformers, adding that department has failed to provide power supply to its consumers.
“The transformers are not repaired fully but after carrying a minor repair work the transformers installed back get damaged within hours only to add woes to the people here” the statement added.
