MENDHAR, Nov 30: Power Development Departm-ent Sub Division, Mendhar is lying headless for the last more than eight months and with this the people of the area are facing lot of hardships.
Official sources said that this important Sub Division of district Poonch, having population more than 2 lakhs has been left headless and no Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) was placed there after the transfer of the Sub Divisional officer about 8 months ago.
They said many works are affected and approvals delayed in Mendhar, Balakote and Mankote tehsil of this Sub Division due to delay in the placement of new officer. Those who want to get new power connection are also suffering. The locals have demanded immediate posting of AEE in the PDD Sub Division at Mendhar.
