JAMMU, Sept 15: Commissioner Secretary, Power Development Department, Hirdesh Kumar Singh has clarified on the fate of employees/ engineers appointed after 2010 in the PDD under New Pension Scheme.
Harvinder Singh, president, J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEGA) during an emergency meeting held here today, told the Association members that during his meeting with the Commissioner/ Secretary HK Singh, he has clarified several points and doubts of the Power employees.
Singh said the Secretary clarified that all the current employees of the PDD will be transferred on deputation to the respective companies after unbundling. The employees appointed in Old Pension Scheme will continue to be in Old pension Scheme and all service benefits to these employees will remain same. He has further cleared that employees appointed in New Pension Scheme after 2010, will continue to be in the NPS and the all service benefits to them shall remain the same.
JKEEGA chief said that some people were trying to create confusion in the minds of JEs appointed after 2010 regarding unbundling exercise and their fate. He said with this clarification by HK Singh their confusion and doubts have been cleared.
Meanwhile, during a meeting of Guidance Council of the JKEEGA held in the evening here today it was decided that Association shall continuously engage with the Government to safeguard the service conditions and terminal interests of the engineers.
