JAMMU, Dec 15: The casual and need based workers of Power Development Department (PDD) held strong protest demonstration in support of their demands at Sunderbani today.
Scores of temporary PDD workers assembled near the PDD office and started protest demonstration demanding release of their wages and their regularization. Local trade unionists also addressed the gathering and urged upon the higher authorities to address their issues.
These workers are on strike and protest since December 8. They decided to continue their agitation till their issues are resolved by the higher authorities. They demanded release of pending wages of 3405 workers and implementation of SRO 381.
