This has a reference to Dr K N Pandita’s write up “Towards PDP-BJP coalition”. The writeup is the correct analysis of political uncertainty in J&K. The political leaders from time to time have encouraged it for their vested interests. It is centered around the sensitive issue of “change the destiny of the people.” The learned writer has methodically drawn a clear picture of the State in terms of industry, tourism, water resources, forests etc.
The writer is also justified to remark that ideological inconsistency has been the root cause of trouble among the Valley based leadership. The bilateral conflict between India and Pakistan has developed into a complicated system. The main stress of the Valley based leadership ought to have been to educate and motivate Kashmiris against the false propaganda against India and discouragement of communal and anti-national elements. To change the mind-set of the people is really to change their destiny. Actually, the leadership of the Valley has allowed political uncertainty and acted on the proverb,”Make hay white the sun-shines”.
The approach is not a lasting one. Let the truth prevail and a Government based on moral and ethical grounds be formed to change the economic uncertainty in the State. To stress upon unconditional talks with Pakistan is absurd.
