JAMMU, Mar 28: While describing BJP as power hungry, CPI(M) today said the Coalition Government between the saffron party and PDP has been formed for the sake of power.
Talking to media-persons at the sidelines of a party function here today, the top CPI (M) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechuri said that this  Government has been formed on a major contradictions for the greed of power. Two parties which have different ideology have come together and now the question is that they must show the resolve to enforce their CMP so that people don’t suffer.
Yechuri said that even as BJP has entered into an alliance with PDP and agreed not to raise the issue of revocation of Article 370, the RSS continues to demand its revocation.
“BJP is a part of RSS and RSS leaders continue to say that Article 370 must go. The BJP which is now a part of State Government in J&K does not say a single word on it. There is a big contradiction,” he maintained.
Referring to the issue of holding dialogues with Pakistan in the wake of twin terror attacks in Jammu last week, Yechury said, “We have always been saying that the doors for dialogue should not be shut and there must also be no compromise on the security of the country. But post attacks, dialogue becomes mandatory to tell them to stop this,” he said.
He also accused the State and Central Governments of ignoring the State saying nothing much has been done after it suffered losses during the floods in September 2014.
“Nothing has changed, post floods we had come, nothing much has been done on the ground. The promises made with the people must be fulfilled,”  Yechuri said.
The CPI (M) stalwart said that his party had asked the Government to declare the floods of Jammu and Kashmir as a national disaster which the Narendra Modi led Government refused.
“We asked them to declare floods as a national disaster. They said there is no such policy. We then asked them if you cannot declare it as a national disaster, start treating it like a one, but they have done nothing,” Yechuri added.
Earlier, Mr Yechuri and State CPI (M) leader Mohd Yousuf Tarigami (MLA) addressed large gathering and raised issues relating to people of this State and workers class.
