PDP-BJP created political uncertainty: Tara Chand

JAMMU, Feb 28: Hitting out at the BJP and PDP for creating uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir due to failure of the Government formation, senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today said two parties should clear their stand so that the Assembly can be dissolved and fresh elections held in the State.
“PDP and BJP are responsible for creating uncertainty in J&K State’’, said Mr Chand while addressing a public rally at Pargwal today. “If two parties are unable to form the government, they should clear their stand to the Governor so that the Assembly can be dissolved and fresh elections are held in the State” he added, The government led by PDP during the 10-month-long rule on the basis of the Agenda of Alliance has failed and people have been deceived, he said.
Tara Chand said that Congress got the approval for the refugees package but BJP winded it up ignoring the aspirations of refugees.
He further hit out at BJP by saying that during our tenure over 9000 families were identified for pension in this border area but nothing has reached them.
He also criticized the BJP-PDP government for dumping the work on the bridge over river Chenab connecting Pargwal and Khour areas.
He alleged that government has failed to pay compensation to the farmers of Khour area whose crops have been damaged during last three seasons.
Tara Chand also took dig on the government that compensation to the border residents whose land was covered under fencing area has not been paid.
Lambasting BJP for compromising important issues, he said “if BJP will keep on compromising on important issues, the day is not far when they have to completely surrender to the Valley based PDP.
He said that it is Congress in whose regime Afzal Guru was hanged to death as the Apex Court found him involved in the Parliament attack.
