JAMMU, May 23: Provincial president, National Conference (NC), Rattan Lal Gupta, said that women play pivotal role for peace, prosperity and development of the society.
He said this during a meeting of the women organised by Bimla Luthra, MLA at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan.
Gupta said that the Government has given 33 per cent reservation to the women so that they could also work for the development of the society in their respective areas.
Gupta lambasted PDP and BJP for creating confusion in the minds of the people by hoodwinking and polluting the political atmosphere of the State with false, fabricated and baseless stories.
Bimla Luthra, in her speech said that the Government has passed people friendly laws such as RTI, Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) and Reconstitution of the Accountability Commission. She said that these acts will definitely help the masses and curb the corruption, prevailing in the society.
