SAMBA, Mar 25: Terming the present coalition as directionless, former Minister and Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Manjit Singh today accused PDP-BJP Government of creating divide between the people and regions for political gains.
Speaking during a public meeting at village Dolian in Bari Barhmana (Samba), Manjit Singh said that there is resentment among the people against the Coalition Government and even their own party workers have been up in arms against the Government.
“They have divided the State into regions. They provoke Jammu against Kashmir and Kashmir against Jammu instead of bringing them closer,” alleged Manjit Singh.
Singh further said that “this Government is unable to perform on the ground. To hide their failures, the coalition partners have created confusion and invited trouble leading to resentment against the Government’s.”
Former Minister alleged that the protests demonstration in Nowshera, Sunderbani,  Kalakote, Kathua, Hiranagar and Akhnoor  against the Government are result of wrong policies.
“These policies have not only frustrated coalition partners but also threatened peace and glaring example is Nowshera. Similar demands are being raised from various areas and the Government is unable to listen to them,” he alleged.
Instead of redressing the demands of the people, he said, the Government gives Additional Deputy Commissioner to one place and denied to deserving places just for political gains.
“PDP-BJP Government will be remembered by the future generations for giving preference to political gains not for the public interest. The developmental projects which were initiated by the Congress Government have yet to see light of the day,” he alleged.
