JAMMU, Mar 25: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today criticised the Coalition Government for ignoring common masses in the State and alleged that the present regime has totally lost its credibility due to its mis-governance and failure on all fronts.
Addressing a well attended gathering at Malik Market area in Gandhi Nagar constituency, he regretted that people of the Jammu region were back stabbed by BJP leadership as the party has brazenly abandoned its core agenda and adopted indifferent approach towards problems of the masses.
Bhalla particularly mentioned the water crisis in the area due to which general public was extremely suffering. He mentioned that the previous Congress Govt had built water tube well in the area but the present regime did not make it functional because of its callous attitude and inertia. “The summer season is all set to make its presence felt in short time and if the present situation with regard to water scarcity will not improve, people of the area would have no option other than to take to streets,” the former Minister warned and charged BJP ministers with the failure to provide even basic amenities to the people.
Bhalla also grilled BJP for its failure on the front of anti militancy drive, allocation of funds at par with Kashmir, employment and developmental activities. “The Government is missing on ground-zero and the people have nowhere to go for seeking redressal of their problems,” Bhalla said and added that the lack of political direction and infighting between the coalition partners was leading to administrative chaos.
The Congress leader said that people of Jammu, who had voted in favour of BJP, were now feeling betrayed and looking for an opportunity to teach the ruling coalition a lesson.
The meeting was organized by Mohd Latif Advocate. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Ex Corporator Kamal Singh, Panch Abdul Qayoom, Panch Ch   Azoob, Haji Mohd Aslam, Haji Mohd.
