THATHRI, Apr 26: The PDP-BJP Government failed to open the Kishtwar road while people in the area suffer due to land and mud slides.
This was said by Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori while meeting with the people of Thathri and stranded people of district Kishtwar at Thathri Dak Bungalow.
Saroori said that in last over two months, the landslide hit area at Kuligad Drabshalla has become a death trap for the innocent daily commuters while Government failed to construct alternate road from Thathri to Drabshalla and instead of acting swiftly, the PDP-BJP Ministers are busy in selling the fairytale dreams to the people of Kishtwar and Doda.
On the demand of the general public, Saroori allocated funds out of his Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for construction of alternative road link bypassing the landslide hit area on Kishtwar-Batote stretch of Jammu-Kishtwar National Highway.
He said that the man and machinery has been put into service for speedy construction of bypass road. Saroori informed that the alternative road link will have a length of around 2-2.5 Km which will connect the Drabshalla after crossing the already constructed bridge over river Chenab for 850 MW Rattle Power Project.
On attack on Muslim nomads in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, Saroori said, “Such brutal acts in presence of police officials are evidential to the claim that killings of muslims, depriving them of their rights are the RSS backed PDP-BJP State’s policy.”
It is time to hold the culprits accountable for their acts, Saroori said and asked Chowdhary Ministers from PDP and BJP to act immediately to control the situation in Jammu or if failed they should resign from the Government.
