PDP delegation calls on RC

JAMMU, Sept 29: A delegation of PDP leaders led by Nana Jee Wattal called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner at his office here.
The delegation discussed various problems being faced by displaced people from Valley and demanded their immediate settlement. The issuance of RBA certificates, pending salaries of PM package employees, issuance of new ration cards in time bound manner were among the various issues discussed in the meeting and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner was urged to take up them with concerned authorities.
It also discussed the pending medical aid to those migrants who are suffering from chronic ailments. These migrants are waiting for financial assistance for years together, the delegation alleged. The issue of political migrants was also discussed by the delegation and it stressed that migrants be provided cash in lieu of ration. Besides, the bifurcation of ration cards and issuance of migrant certificates was also discussed.
The Relief Commissioner assured early redressal of the demands and said that the pending salaries of package employees have already been dispersed from his office to concerned departments.
The other members of the delegation included Syed Parvez Hilal, spokesperson political migrants Front, Sohan Lal Pandita, Durga Nath Bhat and Bhushan Lal Bhat.
Meanwhile PDP leader Nana Ji has also urged the Relief Commissioner to settle the long pending issues on priority basis like bifurcation, issuance of RBA certificates inclusion on new born babies and release of ex-gratia etc.
