PDP Ex-servicemen Wing holds meet

VIJAYPUR, June 16: A meeting of Ex-servicemen Wing of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was held here today to discuss the various problems being faced by the Ex-servicemen due to the apathy of the successive State Government.
The meeting was presided over by Capt (Retd) Anil Gour, State president Ex-servicemen Wing and was largely attended by Ex-servicemen from Vijaypur and adjoining villages.
The meeting demanded the removal of VAT on CSD items as it was affecting negatively the pensioners and war widows.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Gour criticised the refusal of the State Govt to implement the Re-Employment Reservation Policy in State Government jobs for Ex-servicemen.
He also stressed upon the need to open ECHS Facility and Poly Clinics in the far flung villages of Vijaypur, Samba, Ramgarh areas where there is huge concentration of Ex-servicemen.
He also demanded for priority dealing of Revenue problems of Ex-servicemen and earmarking of land for the establishment of Sanik Colonies in the State.
The newly constituted Vijaypur Zone Committee of the Wing was also felicitated on the occasion.
Capt Gour exhorted all the participants to mobilize the maximum numbers of Ex-servicemen to join JKPDP Ex-servicemen Wing to strengthen the hands of Mufti Mohd Sayed and Mehabooba Mufti.
