PDP Ex-servicemen Wing holds meet

KATHUA, May 27: A meeting of PDP Ex-servicemen Wing was held here today for discussing various problems being faced by them due to the apathy of State Government.
The meeting was presided over by Capt Anil Gour, State president Ex-Servicemen Wing and attended by a large number of ex-servicemen from village Kharote, Barwal, Janglote, Nagri; Logate and adjoining areas.
The meet criticized the refusal of the J&K Govt in implementing the Re-Employment Reservation Policy for Ex-Servicemen in State jobs and demanded that special Eco-Task Force and Disaster Management Force battalions should be created consisting of only these ex-servicemen to ensure their gainful employment.
The meet also demanded removal of VAT on CSD sales, ECHS facility with more hospitals, more Army schools, speedy transfer of land in Jindrah to the Ministry of Defence to establish Brig Rajinder Singh Hostel for Veer Naris and wards of martyrs.
On the occasion, Capt Anil Gour announced the constitution of Kathua district committee of PDESW with Hav Romesh Chander Siotra as president; Dfr Balwan Singh as vice president and Hav Bodh as Raj gen secretary. Sub Vidhwan Singh was nominated as zone president Kathua, Hony Capt Balvinder Singh as vice president Kathua Zone and Hav Vijay Kumar Verma as president Nagri Zone.
