REASI, Apr 19: A public meeting was organized by the Jammu Kashmir People’s Democratic Party in Sanglikot area of Mahore in Gulabgarh constituency today where in many people participated and joined PDP.
Additional general secretary Shafiq-ul-Rahman Bhat and local leader from Budhal Farooq Inquillabi were warmly welcomed by the people on their arrival at Sanglikot. During the meeting, hundreds of people from National Conference, Congress and BJP joined People’s Democratic Party.
While welcoming them in the party fold additional general secretary of the party, SR Bhat said that the people were oppressed by other political parties and are joining PDP in droves to get rid of it.
Addressing the rally Bhat said that present ruling party has failed to keep check on t inflation, unemployment and corruption. He said BJP is destroying democracy in the country due to which an atmosphere like chaos has been created. He said that the atrocities committed by the BJP on the people of Jammu and Kashmir should always be remembered by the people and they should give a befitting reply to the BJP in the elections.
Both leaders thanked the people and said that they will repay the love they have given them in the form of development, peace and prosperity.
District vice president Yasin Shaikh, Zahid Malik (adv), former Sarpanchs Liaqat Khan, Ch Mushtaq Ahmed, Naib Sarpanch Maqsood Shah, Chaudhry, Alam Deen, Sufi Zubair, Wajid Shah, Yusuf Hijam, Arshad Shah, Master Shabir Qadri besides several other political leaders while addressing the rally expressed their determination to strengthen PDP,
Prominent among those who joined PDP included Abdul Majeed, Mohd Yousaf,
Ch Hassan Mohd, Ch. Manzoor Ahmed, Mohd Farooq Hajam, Mohd Shabir Thaker, Mohd Manir Bhat, Arshad Hussain Shah, Mohd Shakoor Hajam, Mohd Sharief and others.
