PDP flays JMC, Flood Control Deptt

JAMMU, July 5: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) expressed resentment against JMC and Flood Control Department for not taking timely steps before the outset of rainy season every year.
Addressing a press conference, Vikram Singh, district vice president, expressed serious concern over the rain water entering in houses of residential areas including Rajiv Nagar, Bikram Chowk, Canal Road, Rajinder Nagar, Jawar nagar, New Plot and many other areas.
He said that the rain water entered into the houses and shops of the people causing loss to them.
He demanded construction of drains to stop rain water entering houses and shops of locals.
Among others present were Girish Sharma, Pankaj Gupta, Sachin Sharma and Sonu Saini.
