RAMBAN, Apr 12:  Senior vice president JKPCC and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today asked the masses to verify the credentials of those leaders who day in and day out claim to resolve the Kashmir issue.
“Such type of leaders have no tangible policy or programme but they only believe in grabbing power by raising hollow slogans and employing tricky methods,” he said while  carrying forward election campaign at Mangat, Neel Valley, Phaelmitra and Seeri in Banihal and Ramban constituencies.
Mr Vakil said that it is our duty to analyze the programs and policies of every party which makes tall claims that too without realizing the existing ground situation. “The rhetoric of PDP that BJP can resolve the Kashmir issue is nothing but mere bundle of lies only leading to perishing of State’s special status,” he added.
Praising Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mr Vakil said that devotion and dedication of the former to provide developmental fillip to this hilly region can be ascertained from the fact that three new districts were created in this area alone that significantly reduced the miseries and day to day problems of the people.
“Whenever Azad found an opportunity to contribute for this area he availed it, which is evident from the recent sanctioning of new Medical Colleges and Hospitals,” he said and appealed people to cash this golden chance and defeat divisive forces for their own betterment and prosperity by casting their precious vote in favour of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Addressing the gathering, MoS Power, Vikar Rasool Wani appealed people to vote in favour of Ghulam Nabi Azad to ensure overall development of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that Azad has always taken care of the downtrodden sections of the society in J&K.
MLA Ramban Ashok Kumar also addressed the gathering and said that voting for Azad will be vote for strengthening secular forces in the country. He urged the people to reject sectarianism and communalism forces and strengthen the secular Congress.
