Srinagar, Apr 11: Appealing the people to come forward and vote for secular parties defeating the rightist and divisive forces preaching chaos, confusion and negative politics, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats and senior National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar today said PDP is trying hard to deviate the attention of people from its notorious conspiracies, which it hatched to inflict miseries, sufferings on people and garb power.
Mr. Sagar was addressing road shows at different places in Srinagar city to seek votes for Dr Farooq Abdullah. Senior leaders of National Conference and other prominent persons from different fields of life were present on the occasion.
“It is not for the first time that PDP is spreading lies and targeting National conference by launching vicious propaganda against it, they are in a habit of doing so since long and have always been defeated in their nefarious designs”, Mr Sagar said. He said that NC has always projected and safeguarded the interests of the state and its people without caring for political gains and power.
“During his tenure as the Union Home Minister the patron of PDP   was instrumental for the enactment of provisions of certain draconian Acts to the State, which have been responsible for subjecting the people to miseries, hardships and mental agony”, Mr. Sagar said and added that the onus lies on the party to explain their double standards and its leaders  enjoy a cozy relationship with the rightist organizations of India, who have a recorded  history of being anti-Kashmiri and against the unique character of the State . He said that the people are wise enough to understand their mechanizations and would give befitting reply to them, which will serve as a lesson to these forces of chaos and confusion.
Mr. Sagar said that it is a recorded history that the city of Srinagar was subjected to worst form of discrimination during their regime and people are aware of the fact that various projects for ensuring development of the historic city were stalled during their tenure in power and people were subjected to victimization and discrimination in all spheres of life.
