PDP Minority Cell calls on Relief, Rehabilitation Minister

JAMMU, Apr 12: A delegation of J&K PDP Minority Cell called on Basharat Bukhari, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister at his official residence in presence of ex-MLAs of PDP Peer Mansoor Hussain and Rafiq Ahmed Mir, today.
The deputation was led by A K Sidha, senior leader PDP and its other members included M K Bhat (retd Dy SP), Sahibji, D N Bhat, Sunil Bali, B B Sadhu, A K Dhar, Sunil Bhat and Nanaji Raina. They  putforth  some suggestions and also discussed various issues related to welfare, upliftment and equitable development of the community and presented memorandum to Minister demanding immediate solution of demands and settlement of all problems as per the wishes and aspirations of the community.
The deputation emphasized for confidence building measures, easing the tension and de-freezing the estrangement.
The agenda points which came under discussion with Minister were to make simple and speedy disposal in bifurcation of ration cards, ration supply should be made available  round at camp depot before 10th of every month, enhancement of cash assistance, enhancement of ration in favour of Government employees, free medical aid for ailing patients suffering from some acute problems, macadamization and repairs of damaged internal and outer roads both at Jagti and Purkhoo camps and other allied problems faced by KP community.
The minister assured that all steps would be taken in this direction to consolidate the burning issues of the Pandits community.
Among others who were present in the meeting were Bansi Lal, P N Bhat, O N Bhan, Verrji, Aniji, Daleep Kumar and Surinder Kumar.
