JAMMU, Feb 8: Expressing his gratitude to Governor N N Vohra and Shri Amarnath Shrine Board for bringing service providers of Amarnath Yatra under the ambit of insurance cover, PDP MLA Mohammad Sartaj Madni today said that the action would greatly help the sufferers.
This action of the Shrine Board will indeed enable the sufferers to earn their livelihood in these hard times and ensure quick and timely compensation in their favour, Mr Madni said in a statement.
Pertinent to mention that Dandiwallas, Pithoos, Poniwallas and their Ponies, labourers etc have been covered under the insurance scheme while Governor N N Vohra has issued strict instruction for ensuring timely settlement of the claims.
