PDP MLA releases Rs 2 lakh for migrant colony

JAMMU, Feb 17: PDP MLA from Shangus Peer Mansoor Hussian today visited the Netar Kotian and held a meeting with the migrants there. The MLA announced Rs 2 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for roads and laying of electricity wires in the area.
He also assured the people that the shrines of Batpora and Uma Nagri Brari Aangan in Anantnag district will be developed and he will take up the issue with concerned authorities. He said already Rs 5 lakh were provided for Achabal shrine by him out of his CDF.
Peer Hussain criticized the Government for its failure in solving the problems of the migrants and said that its all promises have proved hollow. He said that the PM’s employment package is hanging in balance for last five years since its announcement.
The meeting was also addressed by Sunil Ji Bhat.
Meanwhile, PDP Minority leaders R K Sharma and Nana Ji Wattal have urged the Government to pay the arrears of relief enhanced from June 2012 to February 2013 along with relief of February before the festival of Maha Shivratri. They however, termed the increase in relief meager. They also demanded allotment of quarters to migrants putting up in rented accommodations and expressed concern over 16 hour power cut in Jagti which has hit the education of students.
