PDP not to succumb to campaign of coercion: Mehbooba

SRINAGAR, Apr 5: People’s Democratic Party (PDP), president Mehbooba Mufti today chaired a meeting of zonal committees from Batamaloo and Hazratbal Assembly constituencies.
The party functionaries apprised the president of the ongoing party activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Zone committee members lauded the resolve and steadfastness of Party president Mehbooba Mufti for not succumbing to pressure despite constant campaign of coercion and arm twisting.
“We go to our people heads held high because you did not compromise on the dignity of people of Jammu and Kashmir despite paying a steep political price. Party cadre unanimously stands behind your leadership and will double down on its efforts to rejuvenate the party at the grass roots level,” zone committee members resolved.
Apprising the party president of ongoing activities and organizational structure at the grass roots level, members put forth suggestions and ideas which were discussed threadbare in the meeting.
Those who led Hazratbal delegation included former minister and ex MLA Hazratbal Asiya Naqash, Zonal president Abdul Hameed, senior members Mohd Siddiq, Mohd Yousuf and others.
Batmaloo Zone Committee delegation was led by State secretary and Incharge District president Srinagar Abdul Hamid Kosheen, Zonal president Batamaloo Bashir Ahmed, Senior leader Abdul Qayoom Bhat and others.
