JAMMU, Dec 16: Senior vice president J&K PCC, Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil while lambasting the leadership of PDP said that PDP’s political wrong doings pushed State towards political and economic instability by withdrawing support to Ghulam Nabi Azad led Government in 2008.
Vakil said PDP is a power-hungry party and never wanted to see democratically elected representatives to perform in the State and had ditched its partners merely to stay in power.
“When developmental activities were in full bloom in entire State PDP felt insecure of Azad’s popularity and prioritized its own political interests rather than giving peace and prosperity a chance to flourish”, he stated.
He said that Azad is committed to protect and prioritize interests of the State and live example is of sanctioning of five new Medical Colleges, Cancer Hospitals for the State as Union Health Minister which no other person could do this is the biggest contribution to the people of the State.
Vakil stated this while addressing public meeting in Thanamandi and several other places of district Rajouri.
While taking on NC, Vakil said it was their Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who was unable to utilize six years of his tenure properly in eradication of corruption.
“Omar had completely surrendered before the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who were looting the State exchequer at their whim”, he said, adding that coalition can never be any excuse in curbing corruption if one is determined to uproot corruption from the system.
Among others, who addressed the gathering include Congress candidate from Rajouri Constituency and Former Minister Shabir Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ali Khan, Deputy CLP leader Telangana and Gujjar leader Chowdhary Nirmal Singh from Patiala, Punjab.
