JAMMU, Sept 22: It is time for PDP to first introspect about the negative role it played in J&K creating a wedge between different communities rather than accusing the BJP over baseless issues.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat in a statement issued to media today.
Giving an astute rejoinder to PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Bali Bhagat said that BJP is a nationalist party which can go to any extent to save the interest of the country unlike PDP which preferred to steer a march of people of a single faith to Pakistan showing brazen dissent against that very country which nurtured her and gave her opportunity to be the part of its Parliament and State Assembly.
He said that instead of bowing before the country and its people, the thankless and ungracious Mehbooba preferred to show her allegiance with Pakistan that too when India needed her support the most.
The senior BJP leader said that under BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi J&K has witnessed unprecedented progress and surmounted number of problems which it was confronting since last over 70 years as the main hurdle viz Article 370 was made null and void by the BJP Government paving way for opening floodgates of development in the newly created UT.
He said that PDP will not gain anything by sensationalizing issues and befooling people as everyone in the UT knows everything about every party and therefore such tantrums of Mehbooba are not going to work.
The former Minister said that dividing people on communal lines is the trait of PDP, NC and the Congress and not BJP because it has a sacred mission of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas to woo the people into its volley. He said that PDP should desist from mudslinging and on the contrary should revisit her ideology to act in the interest of the nation rather than working to satiate its own vested cause.
