Without divulging details CM Mehbooba Mufti said that many elements had joined hands to foment unrest in the Valley which has entered 80th day. She added that these elements were out to derail the coalition Government. She did not say many words but the indications are clear that even some mainstream parties that are out of power had no qualms of conscience in covertly extending moral support to the seditionists and traitors at the back of ongoing unrest. They have been expecting the exit of former MP Karra as game changing force but the massive support which Mehbooba unanimously received from Ministers, legislators and senior party leaders shows that she is in complete control of the party and the Government. Taking a subtle dig at voices suggesting India should talk to Pakistan, CM has questioned what was the reaction of Pakistan to PM Modi’s unilateral decision of travelling to Lahore unscheduled in search of peace? The response from Pakistan was Pathankot air base attack.
CM has taken a very timely and statesman-like decision of taking the echelons as well as the ground workers of her party into confidence to thwart the nefarious designs of her opponents to derail her Government.
