SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today asserted that the agenda of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party was to change the situation of the State for better.
”My party has time and again displayed that it would rise to the occasion for the welfare of the people and won’t shy away from even taking tough decisions for the betterment of the State,” Ms Mufti said while addressing a rally at Budgam on the occasion of the party joining of a political heavyweight of Central Kashmir and senior leader of Congress Nazir Ahmad Khan of Beerwah.
Ms Mufti, who is the President of PDP, said it is an open page of the recent history of Jammu and Kashmir that how PDP changed the things when it came to power in 2002. ”Be it political front or governance, everything witnessed a positive change during that period,” she said.
Ms Mufti said the party under the leadership of late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed has taken even very bold decisions to ensure a better environment to the people and take the State out of its difficult situation.
She said the Agenda of Alliance which the party has negotiated for the present Government includes every aspirational requirement of the people and hoped that its successful execution would lead the State to the heights of peace, prosperity and development. (AGENCIES)
