JAMMU, Aug 17: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former member J&K State Advisory Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals, Abdul Hamid Choudhary while seconding the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s call for revival of ‘healing touch’ stated that late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed always advocated a dialogue with anyone who was able to contribute towards socio-economic development of Jammu and Kashmir State and restoring peace in the entire sub-continent.
In a statement issued here, Hamid Choudhary said unending cycle of violence has caused irreparable loss to several families and pushed the development of state towards wall.
Both State as well as Central Government are having ample socio-economic development plans for the state but are awaiting for peace to dawn so that they are implemented with same vigour that was displayed during the regime of Late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, he said.
This is the time when people and especially youth do not need only healing touch but also want to be heard and talked to. Fortunately, Mehbooba Mufti too is advocating same policy of dialogue and reconciliation to give people her best.
Urging people and especially youth to let peace prevail in the state, Choudhary Hamid hoped that in days to come calm will prevail here and this cycle of violence will end.
