Peace in Kashmir

Sir,
The situation in Kashmir is bound to stabilize for better as the Government in New Delhi has acted strong by taking on Pakistan where it hurts most. Prime Minister has honestly shared the pain of losing young lives in Kashmir but declined in principle to talk to pay masters of stone palters whose loyalty lies across the borders. Way back in 1990’s these paid agents of Pakistan had generated a hope of Azadi among Kashmiris which they failed to achieve and this time they were desperate with the slogan ‘ Now or never’. Neither the State Government nor the Central Government is to blame for what happened in Kashmir during the longest shut down forced in the history of Kashmir out of fear. Pakistan had done  its ground work meticulously in tandem with the separatist leaders in Kashmir and killing of the militant Wani acted as a trigger to unleash the hell on their people.   The turmoil did help Pakistan  to strengthen its dwindling militant force inside Kashmir and infuse a new life in the demoralized cadres that had almost become desperate with army flushing them out. The compulsions of the local politicians like National Conference can be understood but what surprised the nation was the attitude of Congress Party that is the mother of all accumulated sins in the State. It is unfortunate that the national parties that understand the high stakes of the nation in holding Kashmir together are pressurizing Government of India to act in a manner detrimental to the interests of the nation.
The present turmoil in Kashmir must be understood in context of the global changes in the radical Islamic movement and only a united India can stand firmly against the ideology of hate, terror and killings.
Yours etc….
