SAMBA, May 12: Vijaypur Police has arrested a drug peddler with approximately seven grams of heroin like substance and two sharp edges weapons.
“A team of Police Station Vijaypur during vehicle checking at naka established near Zamindhara Dhaba, intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK02AL- 4005 which was coming from Bishnah side towards Vijaypur, for its checking,” a police spokesman said.
He said during checking of the vehicle, police recovered approximately seven grams of heroin like substance and two sharp edged weapons (Tokas) from the possession of the driver identified as Raman Bali son of Sanjay Kumar Bali of Mehmoodpur (Bishnah, Jammu).
“The accused was arrested and a case under FIR Number 65/2024 U/S 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act, 4/25 Arms Act was registered against him at Police Station Vijaypur,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
