Peddler held with heroin, weighing machine, sharp edged weapon

JAMMU, Jan 16: Miran Sahib Police today arrested a drug peddler with 5 grams of heroin, 1 weighing machine and 1 sharp edged weapon.
“A team of Police Station Miran Sahib constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq rounded up a suspect namely Choudhary Asif Ali son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Langotian (Miran Sahib), while he was going from Kotli Mian Fateh to Langotian side on his bike without registration number,” a police spokesman said.
He said during search, total 5 grams of heroin, 1 electronic weighing machine and 1 sharp edged weapon was recovered from the possession of the suspect.
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 11/2023 U/S 8/21/22 /60 NDPS Act and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and the accused arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
