JAMMU, Sept 22: Jammu Police today arrested a drug peddler from Phallain Mandal area of city outskirts and recovered 5 grams of heroin from his possession.
“A team of Police Post Phallain Mandal led by SHO Police Station Satwari Inspector Sumeet Sharma and Incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal while on naka duty at Doana Morh rounded up a suspected person,” a police spokesman said.
He said during search, 5 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of accused identified as Malkeet Singh son of Surjeet Singh of Sohanjana. “In this regard, cognizance was taken by Police Post Phallain Mandal and the accused arrested.
Further investigation of the case was going on, he added.
