Pedestrian held with illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Nov 9: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested a pedestrian along with large quantity of illicit liquor from Kishanpur area.
As per police sources, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a surprise naka at Kishanpur and intercepted a pedestrian for checking as he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 51 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Romail Singh, son of Gain Singh of Kishanpur Kharta.
A case under FIR Number 127/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
