SAMBA, July 15: A pedestrian died in an accident on the Jammu -Pathankot National Highway adjoining to Rai Morh of Ghagwal near here, today.
Police said a pedestrian was hit by a truck resulting in his instant death. The truck was on way from Samba to Kathua and after reaching Rai Morh it hit a pedestrian, injuring him seriously. With the help of the local people, the injured was rushed to the Trauma Hospital, Ghagwal where the doctor declared him as brought dead, police said.
The deceased has been identified as 30 year old Vinod Kumar, son of Bansi Lal of Triath, Rajouri. The police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law. It has seized the truck and arrested the driver.
