JAMMU, June 7: A pedestrian was killed in Domana, while a woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Garhi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachak police station.
As per reports, Naresh, son of Rattan Lal of Pathyal was seriously injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Domana. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
His body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities, while police has registered a case and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Garhi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachak police station.
The woman identified as Vandana Devi, wife of Himmat Singh of Garhi was spotted hanging at her residence by the family members.
She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The body has been handed over to legal heirs after autopsy, while a case has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
