SAMBA, Oct 18: A pedestrian died after he was hit by an unknown vehicle during late last night at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Bus Stand Samba
He has been identified as Randeer Singh , 35 of Pallanwalla at present Ward Number 6 Samba. He died on spot and his dead body was brought to District Hospital Samba for post-mortem.
Taking the advantage of darkness the vehicle however fled after accident. The Samba Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law.
In another incident, a girl consumed some poisonous substance at her residence this morning. She has been identified as Haneefa, 22, daughter of Gama of Paltha Samba. She was taken to District Hospital Samba where from doctors referred her to GMC, Jammu for specialised treatment.
