KATHUA, Feb 17: A pedestrian was today knocked to death by a rashly driven car at Hatli road here.
Eyewitnesses informed that the erring car driver fled with the vehicle after hitting the pedestrian.
The erring vehicle had registration number JK08G-9642.
Seriously injured victim was shifted to GMC Kathua where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Jagdish Chand, 68, son of Dewan Chand of Chack Partap Singh, Kathua.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR no. 39/20 under section 279 and 304 A and started manhunt to nab the erring driver.
