UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: A young pedestrian was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle at Shiv Nagar Udhampur, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Arshad (24), son of Gulam Rasool, resident of Jojra Talab Udhampur. He was walking on the roadside when a rashly driven vehicle on its way from Jammu to Udhampur , hit him.
Locals rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu Hospital in view of his serious condition. Later, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police have registered the case and investigation was going on to trace the vehicle, which was involved in the accident.
