SRINAGAR, Dec 27: Prominent political figure, Peer Moin-ud-Din, son of former Minister and former J&K Congress president, Peer Ghiyas-ud-Din here today joined Apni Party.
Earlier he remained associated with Congress and PDP.
As per a handout, Apni Party senior vice president, Ghulam Hassan Mir welcomed Peer into his Party.
Apni Party provincial president, Mohammad Ashraf Mir; State secretary, Muntazir Mohiuddin, District president Srinagar, Noor Mohammad Sheikh and Mohammad Ather-ud-Din Bhat were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming Peer into Apni Party’s fold, Ghulam Hassan Mir said, “It is always a pleasure to welcome prominent political figures like Peer into Apni Party.”
He also claimed that joining of new members into Apni Party indicates that the Party has people-friendly agenda and policies which is gaining public acceptance with each passing day.
