SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Former Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), the main accused in Common Entrance Test (CET)-2012 scam was sent to 10 days judicial remand by a local court here today.
The Anti-Corruption judge, Mohan Lal Manhas, today granted Peer 10 days judicial remand. The judge observed: “Since the investigation is at the initial stage and as such more investigation is required.”
Peer was arrested last month by the Crime Branch. The court in its order directed the Superintendent of Central Jail Srinagar to provide him medical check up as per the jail manual.
The court is hearing the bail application of Peer on December 10. The court had earlier reserved the judgment on bail application of another accused Sajjad Ahmad till December 10.
