Pensioner Association discusses release of DA instalment

JAMMU, July 26: J&K Pensioner Association held meeting under the chairmanship of Amrik Singh former leader of EJAC and discussed various long pending demands of the pensioners, here today.
During the meeting the members of the Association discussed the issue of enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs1000 at par with Central Government employees and pensioners and release of 11 percent Dearness Allowance w.e.f. from January 2020. “The prizes of essential items including eatables are sky rocketing but the Government is still unmoved over the release of 11 percent DA instalment,” they alleged.
They said that the political leaders were misleading the people of J&K that they have given all the benefits of the Centre to J&K employees/pensioners but contrary to their claims, the employees and pensioners were on road for their genuine issues.
Balwinder Singh, Darshan Lal, Sudesh Sharma, MA Rather, Manmohan Singh Dutta and many other were present during the meeting.
