JAMMU, May 22: All J&K Pensioners Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its general secretary Madan Lal Abrol, in which senior members of the association took part.
While speaking, Madan Lal Abrol said that the pensioners of the State are struggling to get their legitimate demands redressed for the last four years, but the Government has turned deaf ear towards their demands.
He said that the Director Accounts and Treasuries has issued fresh orders for verification of the pensioners and family pensioners before Treasury Officers, adding that the bank should verify that the beneficiary is alive or not and ATM should be stopped at once.
Abrol demanded implementation of 6th Pay Commission, equal benefits to all the pre-retirees before January 1, 2006, additional quantum of the pension in favour of the State pensioners and benefits be given to judicial retirees.
