JAMMU, Jan 31: A delegation of State Pensioners and senior Citizens Welfare Society led by its patron Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani called on Director Finance and Codes and demanded immediate release of two installments of DA due from January and July 2014 in favour of State pensioners and employees.
The delegation also demanded immediate release of 4th installment of 6th Pay Commission arrears in favour of those pensioners who are till date deprived of the same besides enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 1000 per month and granting of pensionary benefits to State pensioners at par with Central pensioners.
The other members of the delegation included Comrade Baldev Raj, P N Raina and Abdul Razak.
Meanwhile, J&K Pensioners Association led by Govind Ram Sharma also demanded release of 17% DA & 6% DA arrears.
