JAMMU, May 19: Krishan Singh, president, J&K State Pensioners Association, has asked State Pensioners’/ family pensioners to obtain PPO from the concerned bank to get their additional pension in terms of SRO, 2016 at different ages and sought immediate release of 6% DA instalment.
Singh urged the higher authorities of Finance Department to depute officials from Accounts and Treasuries wing for fixation of additional pension at the door steps of aged and infirm pensioners’/ family pensioners who being lonely are unable to go to the bank to obtain their PPOs and to the treasury for fixation of their additional pension and again to the bank branch to handover the PPOs as was done during annual physical verification of pensioners.
In a memorandum addressed to the Commissioner Secretary Finance, the association has sought immediate release of 6% DA instalment from January 2016 in cash, enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000/- per month and other allied dues.
