JAMMU, Jan 28: Retired employees of Prisons Department have urged upon the State Government to release pending two installments of 17 % DA in favour of pensioners at the earliest.
In a meeting of the members of J&K Prisons Retired Employees Welfare Association held here today, its president Krishan Singh urged upon the Governor to release the 4th annual installment of 6th Pay Commissioner arrears payable from April 2014 and two pending DA installments of 10 % and & 7 % , due from January 14 and July 2014 in cash in favour of pensioners. He also demanded enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month for the employees and pensioners.
