People across all spectrum of life condole demise of Swaraj

JAMMU, Aug 7: Various political and social organisations have condoled the demise of former External Affairs Minister and BJP stalwart, Sushma Swaraj who breathed here last in Union Capital yesterday.
NPP Supremo, Prof. Bhim Singh has expressed his deep shock and grief over the demise of Sushma Swaraj who started her career from her student life as a socialist democrat and contributed to the welfare of the people of country in many capacities.
He expressed his condolences to bereaved family and recalled the services of Swaraj to the nation who he said actively participated in Loknayak, Jaiprakash Narayan’s Total Revolution Movement.
Gyal P Wangyal, Chairman / CEC LAHDC, Leh on behalf of people of Ladakh and LAHDC , Leh expressed his heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Sushma Swaraj, the former Foreign Minister of India and a senior BJP leader. In his condolence message he said in her death India has lost one of her most stalwarts who had dedicated her entire life for public service and welfare. Her stint as Foreign Minister at South Block has been one of the golden period in the annals of Indian Foreign Policy, said Wangyal.
All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) has also condoled the untimely and sad demise of Swaraj. AIKS in its condolence message said she was parliamentarian par-excellence and a patriot to the core. BJP’s rise to power and becoming a force to reckon with has lot to do with Swaraj’s own performance over the years and her being the face of party. AIKS said articulate, bold, knowledgeable and charismatic, Swaraj was a highly respected leader who carved out a niche for herself in a cadre based party like BJP.
JKNPP held a condolence meeting here today in which shock and grief was expressed over the demise of Swaraj who was the voice of the people of India. NPP said she was one of the most favourite leaders in India who represented the voice of suppressed and the depressed inside and outside Parliament.
Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) in a condolence meeting held under the chairmanship of K K Khosa its president condoled the sad and untimely demise of Sushma Swaraj. KPS said in her sudden death the nation has lost a tall leader who was respected across the political spectrum for her wisdom and extraordinary capabilities while holding many high offices including leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Chief Minister of Delhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister and External Affairs Minister etc. The void created by her sudden death will be very difficult to fill, it added.
Sampooran Kashmir Sangthan chairman, Anoop Kaul, its president Rakesh Kaul and general secretary, Bharat Kachroo have also condoled the demise of Sushma Sawaraj in whose sudden demise the nation has lost a great leader. They recalled her services to the nation right from her student life and said she was a best orator and a bold leader who had lot of sympathy towards the displaced Pandits from Valley.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president, Kundan Kashmiri has also condoled the demise of Sushma Swaraj and termed her death a great national loss. He said Swaraj was a great patriot and a revolutionary leader who served the nation up to her last breath.
Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) president, R K Bhat and its senior leader, Ajay Safaya have also condoled the demise of Swaraj and termed her a voice of oppressed and suppressed people of the country. They prayed for the eternal peace of departed soul.
Former Minister and senior Congress leader, Abdul Majid Wani has also expressed his grief and shock over the demise of Sushma Swaraj and termed it a great national loss. Wani in his condolence message said nation has lost a great firebrand leader and expressed his deepest sympathies with the bereaved family.
He, while recalling her love for the people of J&K said as Union Health Minister, she took personnel interest in up-gradation of Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu to AIIMS during her tenure as Union Health Minister.
