MENDHAR, Nov 30: The common masses and businessmen here are aghast over mismanagement of traffic in the town resulting in frequent traffic jams which in turn have become a source of nuisance for the locals.
A group of businessmen said people are facing lot of inconvenience due to traffic congestion in and around bus stand. “Flow of traffic at Mendhar bus stand and main bazaar is increasing day in and out but the tehsil administration has so far failed in providing relief to the people from this menace”, they said and added that due to non-availability of an alternative route, increasing traffic is adding to the miseries of the masses.
“Even police have failed in properly managing the traffic which results in long irritating jams on day to day basis” locals said and added that huge rush of mini buses, Tata Sumos and mini tempo travellers is adding to the mess as there is no proper parking place for them available in the town.
They demanded that a proper system to manage traffic so that the people freely pass through main bazaar area without any inconvenience.
