UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: Various deputations of people from different areas of Udhampur constituency, called on Pawan Kumar Gupta, Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology and putforth their demands pertaining to local issues.
The people, drawn from Saral Moholla (Rathian), Palla Danga and Riassa (Pyt Kambal Danga), Loundana Patha, Moud, Meghani Kotli Pain, Seen Thakran and Tikri, highlighted their grievances with regard to electricity, drinking water , ration, roads and K Oil supply by CA&PD.
Mr Gupta gave a patient hearing to the people and issued on the spot telephonic instructions to the officers of the concerned departments for necessary action. He assured improvement in basic amenities like augmentation of water & electricity supply and improvement of roads in phased manner besides regular supply of ration.
While responding to complaint of the people, hailing from village Meghani Kotli Pain, regarding proposal of Army authorities to close the existing corridor of access , the Minister assured to take-up the matter with the Army authorities for maintenance of status quo till alternative independent passage from Thomas Bridge to Kotli Pain is made.
