KATHUA, Mar 1: The irate people blocked the National Highway at Chadwal for over one hour in protest against the reopening of wine shop in the area.
The protestors squatted on the Highway and did not allow any vehicle to move resulting in a huge traffic jam for miles together.
Later the SDM, SDPO, Tehsildar and SHO Hiranagar reached the spot and asked the proprietor of the wine shop to close the shop. This pacified the protesting mob who, dispersed and traffic was restored on the Highway.
