KATHUA, Mar 14: The irate residents of Gura Mundian in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district today blocked the National Highway for half an hour in protest against the power crisis and water scarcity in the area.
The protestors raising the slogans against the PDD authorities said that power shutdown due to breakdown of power transformer has led to water scarcity also.
They said that despite bringing the matter into the notice of concerned authorities a number of times they failed to look into the problem.
Later the road blockade was lifted on the assurance of SDPO border Divakar Singh.
